Postdoctoral Fellowship Scholarships for Cheerleaders in Biological Chemistry


The Scholarships for Cheerleaders Biological Chemistry Department John Innes Centre conduct fundamental research on molecular processes in plants and microbes.We recently discovered novel maltosyl transferase, GlgE, and its role in a new pathway for biosynthesis of glucans. This pathway is important because it was involved in the pathogenesis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and is a new target with a new mode measures for anti-TB therapy.

Change Fellowship Awards Scholarships for Cheerleaders


Change the Scholarships for Cheerleaders is intended to provide applicants with an opportunity to demonstrate their research capabilities in a way that will increase employment opportunities and future opportunities to attract support.

Change Fellows will be asked to present their preliminary findings in ICP 2012 and
time the program will be allocated for this presentation.

This
Scholarships for Cheerleaders award was made possible by major funding from the Jacobs Foundation, with additional support from the National Research Foundation in South Africa and IUPsyS. Seven awards amounting to € 25 000 each are available. This number can be used for expenses related research, including research equipment, data collection, and travel to, the registration and accommodation during the ICP 2012. A proposed budget must be included as an attachment to the research proposal.

This
Scholarships for Cheerleaders award is open to early career psychologists who have completed a PhD (or equivalent full) within the previous 10 years ICP 2012. Consideration also may be given where for a long time has passed since the official left and / or alleviate the condition beyond
applicant's control.

Scholarships for Cheerleaders Applicants must be permanent residents of the countries of sub-Saharan Africa. They also must be located in a recognized university or research institution known for, or received as a guest researcher at the institute.

Postdoc Position Scholarships for Cheerleaders in Molecular Microbiology


The Scholarships for Cheerleaders successful candidate will conduct research on the fate and effects of veterinary medicines and human being entrained into the farm through the application of animal or human waste. Relevant focus areas may include 1. Characterize the impact of antimicrobial agents in soil and plant communities of microbes including functional endpoints and community structure, abundance and characteristics of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. 2. Feature pathways and mechanisms of biodegradation of selected antibiotics and other pharmaceuticals in environmental matrices.

Scholarships for Cheerleaders Candidates should have a strong record of research in microbiology, biochemistry or chemical contaminants that are relevant to the fate and impact of research. Experience in molecular microbiology methods is highly desirable.
